However, this was not the first time Canada's youngest prime minister met the world's oldest prime minister.
The two had crossed paths 36 years ago, when the then 11-year-old accompanied his late father on a business trip.
In addition to delivering a speech titled 'Inclusion in the age of disruption: Charting a common future', the 93-year-old also held a bilateral meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
